Salina Police are investigating a case that resulted in nearly a $3,500 loss for a Salina business.
According to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester, a white male entered the Bennington State Bank at 200 S. Ninth on Tuesday and attempted to cash a Crane Rental business check that was made out for almost $3,900. The bank refused to cash the check and the man left, Forrester said. Later the man went to the Bennington State Bank at 2130 S. Ohio and was able to cash a Crane Rental business check made out for just under $3,500, Forrester said.
Crane Rental personnel were unsure how the man obtained their bank information, he added.
The subject is described as a five-foot, eight-inch white male who weighed approximately 150 pounds and was bald, Forrester said.
