A tornado warning was issued for eastern Dickinson County and southwest Geary County just before 4:30. The first report of a confirmed tornado was just south of Enterprise. A tornado was also reported near Chapman, and crossed I-70 northeast of Chapman. The storm moved to just south of Milford Dam and continued northeast to south of Riley.
The National Weather Service from Topeka relayed a damage report of five power poles having been snapped in half near the area of Paint Road and 2000 Road in northeast Dickinson County.
A severe thunderstorm produced ping pong ball size hail near Salina just after 5p.m. a mile south of the I-135/I-70 junction.
Weather will be more tranquil Wednesday with mostly sunny and highs in the mid 70s. Another chance for severe weather moves back into central Kansas Thursday afternoon.
