A winter storm warning is now in effect for Saline County, Russell County, Lincoln County, Barton County, Ellsworth County, Rice County, McPherson County, Reno County, and Kingman County until 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service office in Wichita (NWSW).
Snow accumulations of about 6 inches are expected, as is a light glaze of ice. At times, visibility will be reduced to a quarter mile because of the snow.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

Other counties included in that warning are Cloud County, Republic County, Washington County, Marshall County, Nemaha County, Brown County, as well as a large number of counties in Nebraska, Iowa, and northern Missouri.
