Growing up in Armour, Babe attended local schools and graduated from Armour High School with the class of 1953.
On September 11th of 1953, she was married to James Friederich. Most all of their married life was spent in Abilene.
Babe was employed by Zey’s Market in the meat department until retiring in 1997.
James preceded her in death March 31, 2017.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and indoor gardening.
Babe was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Don Bruning.
She is survived: by her daughter, Evelyn (Don) Spencer of Chanute; two sons, Steve (Terrie) Friederich of Tampa, Florida, Carl (Chris) Friederich of Abilene; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Priscilla Hargens of Stickney , South Dakota, Janice Bruning of Armore, South Dakota and a bother, Gary Bruning of Kirksville, Missouri.
The family has chosen cremation and memorial services will be held at a later date in Armour, South Dakota. The family suggests memorial contributions in her honor to be made to Hospice of Dickinson County or the St. Andrews School.
