Leland G. Garver, 83, passed away Friday, January 4th in Abilene. He was born October 9, 1935 in Talmage, the son of Dwight Leland and Alice Clarabell (Ritzman) Garver.
Growing up in Talmage, Leland attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1953.
He farmed until 1966. Leland had been employed in Kansas City running a concession stand at the State Federal Building and El-Kan at Ellsworth until retiring in 1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Don and Ronald.
Leland is survived by: three brothers, Dennis of Abilene, Roger of St. George, Richard Garver of Manhattan; two sister-in-laws, Donna Garver of Andover, Lavina Garver of Solomon and longtime friend and caregiver, Verl Coup of Talmage.
Cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday January 8th at the Prairiedale Cemetery north of Talmage.
