According to the National Weather Service office in Wichita (NWSW), a 90-percent chance of rain is expected after 2 a.m. Friday. Additionally, a light and variable wind becoming south-southeast at 5 to 8 mph after midnight is forecast. The low is expected to be near 43 degrees.
Rain and a possible thunderstorm are forecast for Friday, with the chance for precipitation at 90 percent. An east-southeast wind at 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon also is forecast. The high is expected to be near 53 degrees.
If you’re headed for a high school football game Friday night, the rain chances are more in your favor as NWSW is forecasting only a 20-percent chance for rain before 8 p.m. Winds are expected to be 5 to 8 mph, becoming south-southwest in the evening. The low is expected to be near 39 degrees.
