The Cloud County Community College Foundation announced the conclusion of its most successful employee fundraising campaign to date. The record-breaking campaign ended with more than 65 percent of Cloud County’s employees giving more than $35,000 to more than 30 different scholarships, athletic and academic programs, organizations, and other student engagement opportunities.
Total giving increased by 16 percent over last year’s giving campaign, and beat 2016’s high of $34,000. This year’s internal fundraiser ran through the month of September with the theme “Be the Change, See the Change” and would not have elicited such generosity without the vital contributions of 93 dedicated employees.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment that makes a strong statement about the commitment to the Foundation’s mission and the students we serve,” said Foundation Director Heather Gennette. “I cannot put into words the gratitude and respect I have for our faculty and staff. Their gifts will make a world of difference to current and future CCCC students.”
Cloud County President Dr. Adrian Douglas said she was thrilled about the successful campaign.
“The employees here at Cloud and their giving hearts never cease to amaze me. They continue to make me a proud prez!” Douglas said. “I also can’t say enough about the ladies in the Foundation office as none of this would be possible without their diligence and dedication.”
