Martin was born in McPherson, Kansas on March 9, 1928, a son of Elizabeth (Krehbiel) and David R. Stucky.
Martin attended the Mount Pleasant Country School and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1945. While in High School, Martin was a member of the FFA.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church McPherson, Kansas, where he served his church in many capacities.
Martin was a Farmer, Shepherd, and he worked on the insulation crew for Modern Insulation and Chem Star Products as a warehouse supervisor both of McPherson.
Martin enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, taking care of his sheep, farming, watching his sons and grand kids in their activities.
Martin was united in marriage to Evelyn Mae Schrag on February 14, 1952 at the Hopefield Mennonite Church, Moundridge, Kansas. She died on June 25, 1991. Martin was united in marriage to Ruth K. Gamber on April 17, 1993 at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, Kansas. Ruth died on Oct. 10, 2016.
He is survived by his children Gary L. Stucky and his wife Amber, of McPherson, Kansas, Glenn R. Stucky and his wife Robin, of McPherson, Kansas and Brian K. Stucky and his wife Connie, of McPherson, Kansas;
his sisters Ruby Goering, of Inman, Kansas and Ellen Voth, of Hesston, Kansas. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife Evelyn; a brother Marvin Stucky and his 2nd wife Ruth and a great-granddaughter Amelia Stucky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
Memorial service at First Mennonite Church, McPherson at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 with Pastor Rose Marie Zook Barber officiating.
