Captain Paul Forrester told The Salina Post that law enforcement responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that occurred sometime between April 27 at 6 p.m. and April 28 at 8 a.m. at 1409 E. Iron Ave. The vehicle is a 2005 Ford Taurus.
The Taurus was parked in the parking lot, and the trunk was open. One of the windows on the back door is broken and covered up with tape which allowed access to enter the vehicle.
Several items were missing. The items included a 2017 class ring valued at $500, a thin gold bracelet valued at $100, a silver watch with a blue face valued at $50, a gold watch valued at $50, and a Canon digital camera valued at $300. The total loss is $1,000.
