The Brown Mackie Lions were red hot from behind the arc once again Wednesday night. That accurate shooting and timely stops on defense led the Lions to their third consecutive win, a 95-78 victory over Penn Valley CC.
It was a back-and-forth battle early when the Lions found an offensive spark in Ahasuerus McDonald. McDonald came off the bench, immediately dialed up the 3-ball and scored 17 first half points. The Lions would lead at halftime 44-34.
Jason Jordan helped BMC start the second half on a tear, as he scored the first 12 points of the second half. Brown Mackie would push their lead to 26 and managed to hold Penn Valley at arms length down the stretch.
Ahasuerus McDonald led all scorers with 24 points, Jason Jordan had 19, Bryan Hooker-Harris had 9 points and 6 assists. Brown Mackie shot 9 of 11 from behind the arc for 81.8% and finished with a 58.5% field goal percantage.
Brown Mackie (6-1) will host Butler CC next Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
