Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney reported the following incidents on Friday.
Residential burglary, 500 block of West Iron, sometime between 8-10:30 a.m. Thursday. Forced entry to front door resulting in $100 worth of damage. A DeWalt power tool kit valued at $300 and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken. The incident remains under investigation.
Burglary of a storage building, 1400 block of North Ninth, sometime between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday. Forced entry through a skylight, resulting in $100 worth of damage. Tools valued at $2,300 were found in a pile just outside the building. The incident remains under investigation.
Discharge of a firearm, 300 block of North 11th, at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday. A four-year-old male fired a semi-automatic handgun into a living room chair. Two adults also were in the home at the time. No one was hurt. The incident remains under investigation.
