Julia graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended Marymount College. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She worked as head of housekeeping for the Hilton Inn for 20 years and as a nanny for 10 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Cathedral Choir, the Ladies Guild and Sacred Heart Cathedral Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include: sons, James, John and Richard; daughters, Christina Baker, Julia Rush, Theresa Ross, Susan Fortune and Ann Hutson; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Julia was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Fisher and Harold Sims; sons, Mark, Steven, and Daniel; daughter, Mary Cuypers; three brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with vigil service at 6:30.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 14, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, with burial following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
