Salina Media Connection which was formerly known as Access Television has been providing video coverage of the Smoky Hill River Festival since 1994. The content the media center provides has changed over the years and continues to evolve. Six years ago Salina Arts and Hummanities added the large screen next to the Eric Stein Stage and SMC provides the live feed.
A new addition this year is live updates at the top of the hour highlighting the various stages, demonstrations, food vendors, and roving acts. They can been seen on Cox cable channel 21.
Salina Media Center Executive Director Steve Pope said that the festival recordings provides over 20 hours of programming. SMC re-airs the individual performances throughout the year on channel 21. It is a great way for community members to watch performances they might have missed or just enjoy watching again.
Tune in to Cox cable channel 21 for Live top of the hour updates from the 2018 SHRF!
