Rep. Marshall on President Trump’s Infrastructure Plan

February 12, 2018 by News Release 1 Comment

An infrastructure plan that keeps rural America in mind.

Washington D.C.- Today President Trump released his infrastructure plan. His proposal would dedicate $50 billion to address rural America’s unique infrastructure challenges. The president’s plan would invest in rebuilding and modernizing bridges, roads, and water resources, waterways, power generation assets, and rural broadband.

 Congressman Marshall’s statement is below.

“The biggest advantage American farmers possess is the ability to get goods to market more efficiently than any other country. Kansas exports more than $10 billion of products annually, so maintaining our roads, highways, and other public utilities to meet increasingly high levels of demand is vital. I am so pleased to see the president recognize the unique challenges that rural America faces.

President Trump said it best; it is time to invest in our country. This infrastructure plan would help build a safer, stronger, and more reliable America.”
