The Tim Tebow Foundation is bringing to Salina a NIGHT TO SHINE. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with Special Needs ages 14 and older. Hosted by Church of the Cross-United Methodist, the prom will be held at Kansas Wesleyan University on February 9, 2018. With support from the Tim Tebow Foundation and Salina Regional Health Center, this will be a truly special event for our community.
To help our special guests shine, Church of the Cross will be hosting a Prom Attire and Accessories drive. Donated prom dresses and accessories as well as men’s pants, shirts and ties will be given away to our guests. Clothes may be dropped off at Church of the Cross, 1600 Rush Street, Salina. Drop offs may be made during business hours Monday through Friday or on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Drop offs must be received by January 26.
The give-away will be Sunday, January 28 from 2 to 5 pm at the church. To be given attire, the person must be a registered guest of Night To Shine. Registration and additional information about the event is available at https://salinanighttoshine.wixsite.com/salinanighttoshine. Volunteers will be available to help guests find their perfect attire and seamstresses will be available to make on site alterations or minor repairs.
Any clothes not given away at the end of the event will be donated to non-profits such as the Annual Prom-A-Rama for high school students, Bargain Basket, Salvation Army Thrift Store, DAV or Goodwill Industries .
