A stolen car report turns into a non-injury hit and run
On January 6 at 11 a.m., a woman reported her 2008 Ford Focus being stolen. According to Captain Forrester, a witness heard a car crash into a parked 2002 Pontiac Grand Am at the 500 block of S. College at 4:45 a.m. and saw the driver gather her belongings and flee the scene.
Upon further investigation, police arrested Tracey Francis, 24, of Salina after she admitted that she was the driver of the car. She is facing charges for making false information, driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving while suspended, duty upon striking an unattended vehicle, no proof of insurance, and interference with law enforcement.
