While investigating 37-year-old Michael Kohman, of Solomon, deputies from the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office found stolen property from two Saline County burglaries.
Undersheriff Brent Melander said that the Saline County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Dickinson County authorities after their investigation uncovered a SpeeCo log splitter and several storage boxes that were reported stolen from a residence on the 7500 block of East Crawford in early November.
The log splitter and boxes were found at Kohman’s residence.
Deputies also found evidence linking Kohman to a burglary that occurred on Nov. 10 on the 700 block of North Gypsum Valley Road. Undersheriff Melander said that two stolen firearms, a Rossi .22 caliber pump action rifle and a .38 revolver, were recovered at a separate residence.
Kohman is now facing multiple burglary and theft charges.
According to Undersheriff Melander, Kohman was being investigated for a separate incident and additional charges may follow.
