Earlier this week, the CIF announced the team signed Deveon Dinwiddie, Kevin Parks, Ty Scott, Chris Allen, DeShawn Dinwiddie, James Tabor and Jordan Gibson.
Deveon Dinwiddie is a 5’9″, 185 lbs. defensive back out of Emporia State, where he earned honorable mention honors as a punt and kick returner and was a top tackler among cornerbacks. He transferred to Emporia from North Dakota State, where he played at the running back position. He was also a rushing standout in his hometown of Hutchinson, Kansas at Hutchinson Community College.
Kevin Parks, a 5’10”, 205 lbs. wide receiver, comes to the Liberty out of Southwest Minnesota State University. A native of Oklahoma City, Parks started his collegiate career at Ridgewater College, where he was named second team All-America. He was also named all-region and all-conference.
Ty Scott, a 6’3″, 210 lbs. defensive back that played collegiately at Western Kentucky University. He is a native of Palmetto, Florida. He has prior experience in indoor football in the now defunct AIF.
Chris Allen is a 6’1″, 205 lbs. wide receiver from Friends University. A native of McKinney, Texas, Allen previously played at Bethel College.
DeShawn Dinwiddie is a 6’2″, 215 lbs. linebacker out of Emporia State. Dinwiddie played in 21 games for NCAA Division I-FCS Champion North Dakota State before transferring to Emporia State. He recorded 24 tackles in 11 games as a sophomore for the Bison and played in 10 games as a true freshman, primarily on special teams. Like his brother, Deveon, he is a native of Hutchinson, Kansas and a graduate of Hutchinson High School.
James Tabor is a 6’2″, 305 lbs. offensive lineman. A native of Warren, Ohio, Tabor played collegiately at Friends University and West Liberty College.
Jordan Gibson, a 6’3″, 300 lbs. offensive lineman, played college football at West Liberty University and San Jose City College in California. He is a native of Waianae, Hawaii.
