A fundraiser is set for Friday night in Abilene that will benefit the reward fund in the unsolved homicide of a Saline County woman.
Pizza Hut, 1703 N. Buckeye, will donate 15% of all sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to FEAR: Face Everything and Rise, the Lori Heimer homicide reward fund.
Heimer, 57, was found brutally murdered in her home southeast of Assaria at 10525 S. Hopkins Road just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th.
The reward fund, which recently stood at more than $5,000, is expected to reach over $17,000, according to Heimer’s family.
