On Wednesday, Les Lankhorst, an award winning musical artist, announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for his new music CD featuring new takes on classics from yesterday and today. Les Lankhorst is seeking your help to raise $13,000 by October 24th to cover recording fees, musician and engineer fees, mastering fees, duplication and design costs, printing costs, and other related costs of production.
“I am so excited to create my first new album in 7 years. I am planning on recording unexpected renditions of songs made famous by artists such as The Beatles, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra and many more. I plan on recording in Kansas with world-class local and international musicians. I am very excited to bring my unique vocal interpretations back to the public in this long anticipated release. I really think listeners will agree that this new album will be perfect to listen to in the car, while relaxing at home after a long day, or even at bedtime for the kids” stated Lankhorst.
Les plans to have the album ready by Christmas of 2015 and plans on recording in Wichita and his hometown of Salina, Kansas.
