Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said someone gained entry to Cleve’s Marine and Sporting at 136 S. Broadway between Saturday evening and Monday morning, by forcing open a garage door and then they disabled the alarm system.
Taken in the burglary were 100-120 handguns, 8-20 semi-automatic rifles, 8-12 knives, and nearly $5,000 in ammunition.
The various caliber of ammo taken included 9-mm, .40, .45, .308, .223, and 7.62×39. $74 in cash was also taken.
As of Tuesday morning estimated loss is placed at nearly $50,000.
