UPDATE: Missing FHSU Student Found Dead

UPDATE 1:41 PM: The body of the missing 25-year-old, Ivone “Yosset” Martinez, a Fort Hays State University student has been located this morning by a search team made up of the Hays Police Department, Hays Fire Department, University Police, and the aircraft from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

There is no indication of foul play at this time.

Her death is under investigation by the Ellis County Coroner’s office, Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Hays Police Department.

ORIGINAL: The Hays Police Department is trying to locate a 25 year old female, named Ivone “Yosset” Martinez a Fort Hays State University student, to check her welfare. Ms. Martinez was last seen on campus around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

      When authorities say no foul play is suspected, does that mean that it could have been suicide or accidental drug overdose, or something like that? I have heard anything like that in this case-jus wondering….

    When we were in Hays visiting a week ago, that creek was lined with people taking photographs, playing frisbee golf, etc… I can’t believe someone didn’t find her sooner. Prayers to the family and friends of this girl.
