NEOSHO COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 3p.m. Monday in Neosho County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Chevy Truck driven by Branson C. Dean, 40, Alma, Arkansas, was southbound on U.S. 169 just north of 150th Road passing vehicles on the northbound shoulder.
The truck collided head-on with a northbound 2021 Chevy Traverse driven by Clayton P. Stafford, 51, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Dean was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. EMS transported Stafford to KU Medical Center. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
